Ready to level up your handstands and gain more confidence upside down?

Whether you’re just starting your handstand journey or working toward free-balance and walking, this is your chance to train live with two expert coaches in a small-group, feedback-focused environment (via Zoom).

  • Choose the level option that suits you (Foundations OR Balance/Walking)
  • Real-time demos
  • Personalized feedback
  • Step-by-step technique work
  • Access to the replay for 10 days
  • Bonus: Prep for Inversions Guide

Handstand Foundations

9:30am–11:00am EST
For beginners and anyone wanting to build from the ground up.

Learn how to safely introduce inversions into your training routine, including developing important exit (falling) strategies (because your fear is valid and we want to help you move past it!)

Focus on building strength, flexibility and control to move with efficiency and build a solid foundation that will set you up to progress with confidence

Great for ALL levels — even experienced athletes will benefit from a technical reset

Sign up here ($79 CAD)

Handstand Walking & Free-Balance

11:30am–1:00pm EST
For intermediate+ athletes ready to get off the wall and level up their inversions

Gain understanding of the strength, flexibility and control required to take your handstand off the wall and tackle free-balance handstands and handstand walking

Learn kick-up techniques and explore drills that help you dig into what you need most (i.e. line work vs. endurance vs. strength building) to balance longer or walk further

Pre-requisites for this session: 30s+ Open hollow body hold, 30s+ Wall-facing handstand (only nose and toes touching), basic understand of cartwheels or how to “fall”

Sign up here ($79 CAD)

(Option to attend both workshops and receive a workshop bundle savings. Register here)

Hear from past workshop participants

“Strongnastics is a fantastic program run by passionate, dedicated coaches that are focused on bringing out the best in all attendees. They do a wonderful job of keeping you comfortable outside your comfort zone and the Foundations course is a great opportunity to develop your fundamental skills and positions. Highly recommended.” – Chris

“Merritt and Jenn are so organized. The flow of the class was perfect putting aspects of each skill to use in the next skill. They are so knowledgeable and amazing with demonstrating each technique, putting safety first with mobility checks. I would recommend them to anyone trying to learn advanced gymnastics techniques in the athletic world.” – Tammy

“Love the focus on the foundation and how they emphasized translating it all the way from the basics to the higher skill and across the board of all movements. Fun, skilled and knowledgable instructors and simple, applicable take-aways for immediate improvements in everyday mobility and workout performance Excited to implement it myself and share it with others 😊” – Morgan

“In the past, I’ve experienced multiple neck/shoulder/arm injuries from being upside down so I was nervous walking into this workshop. It was a complete turnaround after the workshop. The coaches are very knowledgeable and was attentive to each member, making the class enjoyable. As a coach myself, I have already incorporated some basics shown to us into classes when handstand work is involved and also into my own personal training. I have recommended the workshop to others and would sign up for more.” – Kseniya

Questions?

The Foundations session is always our recommended “default” because we deep dive into the most important fundamentals of inversions. A lot of adults skip through the basics and then wonder why they get stuck when it comes time to progress to the bigger skills. (Our core philosophy at Strongnastics “Foundations first, foundations always” for a reason!)

For Foundations, it is recommended you have a base level of fitness and ability to hold positions like a “high plank” to ensure wrists are able to support bodyweight.

If you have a base of confidence upside down and meet the requirements outlined, then absolutely jump into our Handstand Balance & Walking.

If you’re still unsure, email us at strongnastics@gmail.com or shoot us a DM on Instagram @strongnastics and we’re happy to chat further.

Technically, you can join just to observe and learn, which would require no space or equipment!

However, for those of you wanting to TRY the skills we’re showing and get live feedback, you will be encouraged to have the following:

  • Mat (option to pile up towels if needed), for comfort in headstands, rolls, stretching, etc.
  • Wall-space (with some room for exits/falling safely as needed)
  • Box/bench/chair/couch (anything to elevate feet/needs on that’s safe/sturdy)

Note: If you are attending our handstand walking session, having a bit more floor space will be valuable.

Refunds are not provided once registration is processed. Everyone who signs up will receive the recording, which is accessible for 10 days after the workshop. You will also receive the bonus “prep for inversions” resource.

Great question! Here’s how the session will flow:

Both Coach Jenn and Coach Merritt Lymburner will be leading the workshop together. You’ll get a mix of practical education (explaining the why behind the what), clear demonstrations, and time to practice each skill.

When it’s your turn to try a movement, at least one coach will be watching your live video to provide real-time feedback. Throughout the session, we’ll also invite participants to be “featured” on screen for more focused review and Q&A.

Tip: As long as your camera is positioned so we can clearly see you and your movement, you’ll be able to get personalized feedback during the workshop.

You’ll be learning from Strongnastics Co-Owners Jenn and Merritt Lymburner — a coaching duo with a combined 30+ years of coaching experience including teaching adults how to move, train, and build skills like a gymnast. They’ve worked with athletes of all levels, from complete beginners to competitive CrossFitters and high-level performers, and are known for breaking skills down in a safe, approachable way.
