WE’RE

HIRING

The Strongnastics team is looking for an Assistant / Demo Coach to add to our roster!

Strongnastics offers a fun, professional coaching service that helps the everyday athlete move like a gymnast and unleash their inner superhuman. We are looking for an experienced coach eager to teach and lead by example by supporting athlete and coaching development workshops across Ontario with our Head Trainers.

Job Description & Details

Role Title: Assistant / Demo Coach (Part-Time)

We are looking for a confident, energetic, experienced Coach to join our team on a contract / part-time basis.

You are someone who LOVES all things bodyweight skills, and you’re familiar with movements commonly found in the functional fitness space (i.e. handstands, handstand walking, handstand push ups, kipping pull ups and toes-to-bar, muscle ups, etc).

You have been coaching in either a Functional Fitness/CrossFit and/or Gymnastics space for 1+ years and may even have a gymnastics background as an athlete yourself.

You “walk the talk” when it comes to movement quality in your skills. Meaning, you take pride in moving with integrity and quality. You love getting to teach others how to move well – and are excited by the idea of helping adults “unleash their inner superhuman”.

How does this contractor position work?

Provide your weekend availability to the Strongnastics team, ideally a minimum of one weekend per month.

Note: Not all weekends will get booked as it’s dependant on demand. Should a request come through to host a workshop, you will be contacted to confirm that you are still available on the date provided. If booked and confirmed, you will be listed as the “Assistant / Demo” Coach for that specific workshop.

Details about the workshop will be provided ahead of time, however, a standard workshop structure is typically followed. (Note that training will be provided for all new coaches). Throughout the workshop, you will assist the Head Coach in coaching/supporting athletes, as well as provide demonstration of all/any movements as needed.

Strongnastics may request social media and/or media support (optional) outside from workshop times.

The Assistant Coach role starts at $22.50/hour for workshops, however, will be dependant on experience (up to $30.00/hour)

Additional travelling bonuses will be provided depending on workshop location.

ALL rates will be listed and confirmed within a Contract between you (Contractor) and the company (Strongnastics) prior to starting.

Please note: Contractors are responsible for claiming all income provided by Strongnastics and may be responsible for paying taxes on amount claimed. Please speak with your Accountant for any questions.

1. Please send your resume to strongnastics@gmail.com.

2. Please include your video submissions. Because this coaching role requires an extensive amount of “demo-ing” (showing movements during workshops while the Head Coach discusses them), you will be required to submit videos of a number of movements (demo links below), including:

  • Handstands (Free-balance, walking, handstand push up)
  • Kipping skills (Pull ups, butterfly pull ups, toes-to-bar, ring and bar muscle ups)
  • Strict ring muscle up (ideal, although not required; should be comfortable with strict ring dips, strict pull ups and ring support holds)

You may consider uploading your videos to a Google Drive or DropBox folder and send the link along with your resume email.

3. Once received, the Strongnastics Team will review and application. Should we decide to move forward with next steps, a Zoom interview will be done. If we determine it’s a fit, we will move forward with the hiring process and set you up with your Contract and relevant training!

Our Mission Statement

Strongnastics offers a fun, professional coaching service that helps the everyday athlete move like a gymnast and unleash their inner superhuman.

Our Philosophy

“Make moving well a priority” and “Foundations first, foundations always”

While gymnastics is in nature fun and exciting for most adults, our goal is to ultimately help people continue to move well, for life. We are teaching strength, mobility, coordination… bodyweight training that can impact them positively outside of the gym as well.

Core Values:

Passion: Our team and athletes share a passion for ongoing self-improvement.

Fun: Whether working or training, our team must truly enjoy what they’re doing

Supportive & Inclusive: Our community is welcoming and provide nothing but encouragement for each other’s growth.

Quality Over Quantity: We believe that doing things with a focus on HOW it is done rather than how many will lay a much more solid foundation for the future.

Customer Service: We are committed to providing professional, quality service at each touch point of our client’s experience.

Empower: We want to show that goals are achievable, regardless of how big they are.
